February brought an exciting few days for the Composit team in Orlando, with three events that gave us plenty to celebrate. Here’s a look back at what went on.

The Kitchen and Bath Industry Show

KBIS is North America’s largest and most prestigious trade show dedicated to kitchen and bath design, and this year it came to Orlando’s Convention Center with approximately 15,000 visitors over three days. Designers, architects, developers, and homeowners from across North America and beyond gathered under one roof – and we were proud to be among them.

Exhibiting alongside our partners Infinity Surfaces, we debuted the new Materya collection, which brings our beautifully crafted Italian cabinetry together with Infinity’s stunning stone surfaces. We also featured an Invisacook induction hob, built entirely beneath the countertop.

Our Italian team flew over to join the Florida crew on the booth, and time and again the conversation returned to the same theme: the value and appeal of Italian manufacturing. In a market filled with beautiful kitchens, that heritage and authenticity continues to set us apart.

It was also a bittersweet moment for Orlando. KBIS will not return to the city for another ten years, with Las Vegas having secured the rights for the next decade. We’re proud to have made the most of this final Orlando edition in style.

The New American Home

Running alongside KBIS, the unveiling of The New American Home represented another extraordinary chapter in the story of a remarkable week.

As the official show home of the NAHB International Builders’ Show, The New American Home is one of the most high-profile residential builds in the country. As the exclusive cabinetry partner, our work spanned multiple spaces within the 15,176-square-foot property, including kitchens, bathrooms, dressing rooms, and a beautifully crafted library.

The build was extraordinary by any measure. A project of this scale would typically take two to three years to complete. The team had nine months. Cabinetry was custom-engineered and manufactured in Pesaro, Italy, air-freighted to Orlando, and installed in rooms that were still being built around us.

But what made this year’s New American Home particularly unique was that it had a real owner – Jason Eichenholz, Ph.D. Jason’s son has autism, and the home was built around their shared love of cooking. Jason is also the founder of Jonathan’s Landing, a foundation dedicated to creating a community for young adults with autism, offering independent living and meaningful employment opportunities. Jason matched all contributions from manufacturers and suppliers dollar-for-dollar in support of Jonathan’s Landing.

When Jason visited our Orlando showroom and shared his vision, for the home and for the community he is building, there was never any question about whether we wanted to be part of it.

A taste of Italy

To launch KBIS week in style, we opened the doors of our Orlando showroom on the Tuesday evening for an event that was, in every sense, a celebration of Italian culture, design, and community.

Around 100 attendees from the built environment sector joined us for an evening of Italian-inspired food and cocktails, a gelato station, and a DJ keeping the energy high throughout. Colleagues from our Orlando, Miami, and Italian teams were all in attendance, giving the evening a wonderfully authentic flavor. It was also the perfect setting to give guests their first look at the Materya collection, raising a glass to an exciting new chapter for Composit.

To everyone who joined us across the week, thank you. It was unforgettable.
